Traditional house by the village castle build 1850, in the center of the traditional Koskinou Village for up to 5 persons.The house took its name from one of the walls of the main salla. That wall is actually part of the remains of the castle of
Koskinou, dating back to the 15th century. Expanding into different
levels, it has both a cosy court yard and a breezy terrace . Being
practically tucked among three houses and a castle wall, it offers a
very quiet atmosphere. All the house’s internal structures
are made of hand crafted wood.
Main salla: It has a
ground floor area of 40 square meters, plus upper levels totaling 11
square meters,with two pataro’s (= wooden traditional Koskinou platform bed), sleeping
two persons each, are set at different levels; each one is accessed by a
separate staircase. Its central arch is overlooked the high wooden beamed ceiling.Two sky light windows, placed on the roof
on either side of its arch, allow natural daylight and a cooling breeze
to pass through the room.Its ground level consists of the living room
and dining area.The bathroom with a bath tab and a kitchen are accessible from the main entrance door.
